Here are a few links to news stories and other media about the Hume Freeway crossing structures for possums and gliders.

Radio interview on Triple R’s Einstein a-go-go, talking all things roads and mammals as part of the 2014 conference of the Australian Mammal Society. My segment starts at ~37 minutes, but the whole thing is worth a listen!

Radio interview on ABC Radio National’s Off-Track, talking about the problems roads can cause for our native wildlife, and my work on the rope bridges. My segment starts around 2 minutes in.

  1. Hello Kylie, what a wonderful site this is!
I have a question for you about an image of a phascogale on this page: https://ksoanesresearch.wordpress.com/tag/brush-tailed-phascogale/
My name is Tamsin and I am the senior artist with mememe productions based in Australia’s Northern Rivers of New South Wales. At the moment we are designing the installation for the Clarence Valley Sustainability Centre in Grafton, and we have dedicated an entire wall to biodiversity and protecting endangered animals in the Clarence, and i found the picture on your website and wondered how to go about gaining permission to use the image? We will attribute the photographer (Chris Tzaros) on the image as a matter of copyright and courtesy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    cheers,
    Tamsin

    • Hi Tamsin,
Your project sounds great! Unfortunately I don’t have copyright of the image so I can’t grant permission for you to use it. You will need to contact the photographer directly. I don’t know Chris personally, but if you send me an email (kyliesoanes@gmail.com) I can forward you the contact details that I have for him. Otherwise Google will be sure to help you out. Sorry that I couldn’t be more helpful on this occasion! Cheers, Kylie
